YNA Shop very much in Beta
I’m slowly debugging the new improved YNA Shop which over the past couple of years of this Beta site has actually moved some products. So please have patience if things don’t render correctly if you choose to explore it.
Note however the actual functionality of adding items to the Shopping Cart and Checkout with Amazon does work.
Now, a short explanation of what’s going on. YNA as you may know is based on the PHP CMS of WordPress MU. And the Amazon Products Feed is Perl or CGI. There’s a lot of hacking to get both these languages to chat aimiably with one another. Play nice kids!
Now, my issue at the moment is embedding CGI into PHP templates, and basically having the includes and CSS properly render various outputs correctly across browsers. Mac browsers seem to dig it, IE is choking like a mangey dog. More below, but before I start listing issues and fixes here are some Links to test for us all.

My following comments are any fixes and issues that continue to arise as YNA Shop continues its build time.

- IE render seemingly solved IE8,7,6 though 5.5 is pap.
- Cookies still not saving Shopping Cart choices, though Checkout okay if you were to go straight through.
- “Browse for similar items by category: Click to Display” on item pages seems busted. Error: showhiddenscript is not defined. Link to js broken somewhere?
- Author name in sidebar links to internal frame. Want to get rid of dumb frame anyway.
- Check font size of calendar prev next months.
