I am currently only able to output FLV files from work, so this is a simple test of my already installed options, and then the possibility of adding more.

YNA Shop very much in Beta

I’m slowly debugging the new improved YNA Shop which over the past couple of years of this Beta site has actually moved some products. So please have patience if things don’t render correctly if you choose to explore it.

Note however the actual functionality of adding items to the Shopping Cart and Checkout with Amazon does work.

Now, a short explanation of what’s going on. YNA as you may know is based on the PHP CMS of WordPress MU. And the Amazon Products Feed is Perl or CGI. There’s a lot of hacking to get both these languages to chat aimiably with one another. Play nice kids!

Now, my issue at the moment is embedding CGI into PHP templates, and basically having the includes and CSS properly render various outputs correctly across browsers. Mac browsers seem to dig it, IE is choking like a mangey dog. More below, but before I start listing issues and fixes here are some Links to test for us all.

Some of the key figures who fought to save Tasmania’s Franklin River are in Hobart tonight to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the High Court’s decision to stop damming the river.

Among them is Bob Hawke who was Prime Minister when the case went to the court.
